a. If the nozzle of pump is larger than the airbed valve, use some soft cotton to wrap the outside of valve until fitting into the nozzle, then you can inflate directly, some of the air will be lost during inflation. Try to use your hand as a seal. 

 b. If the nozzle of pump is smaller than the airbed valve, you can use some soft cotton to wrap the nozzle of pump until fitting into the airbed valve. Of course, you can try to use your hand as a seal, but some of the air will be lost during inflation.
